IRACELMA

Iracelma is a wonderful, intelligent young woman who joined the BAME in January 2018 and has

since accomplished many great things. Iracelma, moved here in 2016 from Portugal and holds

an impressive master’s degree in Radiotherapy.

When Iracelma joined the project she showed great determination to improve her English and

find a job in this country. However, she needed to improve her self-confidence and belief

in her abilities.

Iracelma has been attending the ESOL class every Thursday since starting at TWT and always informs the

ESOL tutor of how she has been implementing new words and grammar into her every day

life. She has made outstanding progress.

Also Iracelma has shown initiative by arranging 1-1 appointments with the ESOL tutor to apply

for jobs in the field of Radiography, improve her C.V, perfect her cover letters to hospitals

and practise her interview skills. Since these extra sessions, Iracelma has produced excellent

cover letters and has had several interviews. Recently, she was hugely successful in getting

a part-time job at a restaurant.

Iracelma has also completed her Level 2 Food and Hygiene course at The Write Time.

At the moment, Iracelma is studying hard and continuing to apply for radiographer jobs

and gaining valuable interview experience.

We look forward to seeing Iracelma’s progress in the future and we cannot commend her

enough on her achievements and strong work ethic.
